8 Players With Favorable Fantasy Football Playoff Schedules
Sony Michel, RB, New England Patriots
There’s no guarantee that Sony Michel will be the lead back for the New England Patriots this season (let alone another four months from now), but it seems safe to assume that a typically conservative team wouldn’t draft a running back in the first round unless they considered him an integral part of their plan.
If Michel can prove worthy of their investment, he’ll be worth yours too, with an absolute cakewalk of a schedule in the fantasy postseason: at Miami Dolphins, at Pittsburgh Steelers, and versus Buffalo Bills. Michel and the Pats’ backs, based on 2017 numbers, will get by far the most running back-friendly Weeks 14 to 16 this year.
New England RB | MIA | PIT | BUF |
---|---|---|---|
Fantasy Points Allowed | 8th | 15th | 1st |
Adj. D Rush NEP/P | 12th | 26th | 32nd |
Last season, Buffalo allowed 1.7 more fantasy points per game to running backs than the second-most permissive team in the league. While Michel won’t fill Dion Lewis’ former role exactly, Lewis was the primary ground operator in the New England backfield last year, and gashed these Bills for 221 yards and 1 touchdown on 39 rushes across two games (as well as 5 catches for 24 yards and a score).
Michel carries some risk, but he is poised to be a big end-of-the-year fantasy asset in 2018.
