David Johnson, RB, Arizona Cardinals

You don’t need me to tell you that Arizona Cardinals running back David Johnson is a good player for fantasy purposes; his average of 18.4 fantasy points per game in contests where he touches the ball at least 10 times speaks for itself. That said, it’s easy to forget how dominant DJ can be as a multipurpose threat when he’s been out with injury for the last year.

What you won’t want to forget, though, is that the Cardinals’ running backs have the second-easiest fantasy schedule for running backs in 2018: versus Detroit Lions, at Atlanta Falcons, and versus Los Angeles Rams.

The Rams’ leaky 3-4 front in Week 16 is the best target for David Johnson believers, after they allowed 118 rushing yards on 27 rushes to the mediocre duo of Kerwynn Williams and the desiccated husk that once was Adrian Peterson in 2017. That 4.4 yards per carry should be considered a floor for Johnson, and he’ll have no issues racking up plenty of yardage on receptions here as well.

The “Humble Rumble” is already a consensus top-five fantasy pick, but his playoff schedule could break some ties and push him even higher.
