Running Back

Chalk

After a monster week against the Buffalo Bills' "defense", it will be no surprise if the New Orleans Saints' dynamic duo see healthy ownership on FanDuel this week. Washington's defense against the run has been adequate -- they rank 20th in terms of fantasy points per game allowed to the running back position -- but they are not the type of daunting defense that will stop people from flocking to either Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara at the Superdome.

Kareem Hunt has been mediocre of late, but it wouldn't be too surprising to see people attracted by the "Andy Reid can do no-wrong after the bye" narrative. The Giants have given up the fifth-most rushing yards so far this season, and if Kansas City gets out to a big lead (as expected), then Hunt could see a ton of work.

One final player who could prove popular this week is Melvin Gordon. Gordon was out-shined by rookie Austin Ekeler in Week 10, but Gordon should reclaim the glory for the Los Angeles Chargers this week. He faces a Bills' rush defense that has given up 492 rushing yards in the past two weeks.

Pivot

Jay Ajayi, $6,900 (at Dallas Cowboys)

Jay Ajayi looked like a new player after moving from the Miami Dolphins to the Philadelphia Eagles. In his first game with his new team, he rushed for 77 yards and a score. He immediately got a bye week, which has likely allowed him to better digest the playbook, and he is expected to see an increased workload against a Dallas Cowboys defense that will probably be missing linebacker Sean Lee.

The Cowboys are a completely different defense without Lee. In seven games with Lee, the Cowboys have given up an average of 87.7 yards per game on the ground. In the two games without Lee, they have given up a whopping 164.0 yards per game. Todd Gurley and Aaron Jones each ran for more than 120 yards in those two games. The Eagles have an implied total of 26.25 points this week, the fourth-best clip on the slate. It is easy to picture Ajayi getting a big share of the work, especially if Philly can build a lead.

With a price tag below $7,000, a good matchup, and people likely looking toward other options, Ajayi could be the type of pivot play that gives your DFS lineup a big boost.
