C.J. Anderson, RB, Denver Broncos

I know, I know: I've already lauded him multiple times over the past few weeks in our Regression Candidates columns, but I have to throw up a red flag on C.J. Anderson this week. Perhaps you don't sit him, but this should give you pause about starting him if your format doesn't dictate that he's a necessity. We know all the pluses on C.J.: great athletic prospect, plays in a Peyton Manning Offense™, and has scored 22 or more standard fantasy points in three of the four weeks he's started this season.

I also know that he's a good pass-blocker and that he'll be asked to stay home and clean up for his passer on more plays than you want to imagine on Sunday. The Buffalo Bills have an elite-level pass rush with defensive ends Mario Williams and Jerry Hughes, as well as one of the most dangerous interior lines (rivaling even the Detroit Lions) with Marcell Dareus and Kyle Williams. This line could rush only three players and still generate a sack. Anderson will be needed a lot in pass protection.

In addition, the Buffalo Bills' run defense is stellar, allowing the second-fewest fantasy points to opposing backfields in the NFL. This is further reinforced by their second-place ranking in Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP. This is a legitimate brick wall Anderson will have to try to run against. I expect Peyton to throw quite a bit.
