The Bills and Jaguars are Going to Put us to Sleep

If you're the kind of person who didn't like the incredible game we saw on Monday night, then boy do I have a game for you. The Jacksonville Jaguars are traveling to the Buffalo Bills, and it's going to be the lowest scoring game of the year.

It's no secret that neither team has a productive offense. They both rank in the bottom-four in the league in points scored and are both top five in percentage of drives that end in an offensive turnover. They're both pretty bad on that side of the ball.

The reason these teams have as many wins as they do -- a combined six -- is because they've both been solid on defense. The Bills have a top three defensive unit according to numberFire's Power Rankings and while the Jags haven't been the same force they were a season ago, they're still among the top defenses this year.

So we're going to be watching two teams with terrible offenses playing against each other's high-level defenses. Neither team is going to be able to move the ball on the other which means neither team is going to be putting up many points. We're taking that to the next level and predicting that this will be the lowest scoring game of the year.

The lowest score in any game this year came in Week 3 when the Tennessee Titans and this same Jaguars team finished with a combined 15 points. We're going even lower this week. The Bills have scored fewer than 10 points in 5 games so far this season and the Jags have had 3 such games. And the last time these teams met -- last year's wild card round in the playoffs -- they scored a combined 13 points.

If this game is the only one you can find on TV this weekend you might want to make other plans.
