Odell Beckham is Going to Roast the Eagles

It's not particularly bold to say the Odell Beckham will have a great game -- that's kind of just what he does. Only Julio Jones and Adam Thielen (eight apiece) have more games with 100 or more receiving yards this season, and they have Matt Ryan and Kirk Cousins throwing to them.

What is bold is to predict that he'll be the top wideout this week, especially after Amari Cooper's huge game yesterday. Cooper feasted on Thanksgiving, putting up an astounding 8 receptions, 180 yards, and 2 touchdowns. It was an amazing performance that was good for 34 fantasy points in half-point per reception leagues. And Beckham is going to top it.

Beckham gets a ton of opportunities to touch the ball in the New York Giants offense. Week 11 was the first time since Week 2 that he had fewer than 10 targets, and with the 4 he got he still managed to score and to produce a team-high 74 receiving yards off of 62 air yards. When Eli Manning throws it, there's a great chance it's going to Beckham.

This week the Giants are taking on the Philadelphia Eagles, who are more than just a little banged up -- especially at the position that's supposed to be covering Beckham this week. Their injured defensive backs got destroyed last week against the New Orleans Saints, and based on their injury reports, it looks like they won't be any healthier this week.

That's really too bad for them in this divisional game, but it's great news for Beckham. Manning will likely have to throw more than the 18 passes he threw last week, so the volume should be there for Beckham as well. OBJ is going to roast the Eagles over an open flame and finish as this week's top wideout.
