Wide Receiver

Chalk

As with quarterbacks this week, it would be fairly shocking to see people shy away from wideouts playing in the Falcons/Bucs game. It's just too dang enticing.

That means we're likely to see high ownership of players such as Mike Evans, DeSean Jackson, and the Falcons' Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley, despite their sub-par performances in a plus Week 5 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Speaking of the Steelers, they should continue to be a team to stream against, which means Cincinnati Bengals receivers -- particularly Tyler Boyd -- will be high on fantasy players' short lists of wideouts to use in their lineups.

Pivot

Jarvis Landry, Cleveland Browns: $6,900 (vs Los Angeles Chargers)

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry is tied for fourth among all wideouts in targets this year. His 29.79% target share is ranked 5th. Neither of these stats should blow you away if you've followed Landry throughout his career, from Miami to today.

He's finished in the top-six in targets in the NFL twice in his four-year career, and he's on pace to shatter his previous best mark of 165 set in 2015. While opportunity certainly begets fantasy points, a 50.9% catch rate -- 15.4% below his career worst -- is just not going to make you a WR1, especially if you can't find the end zone.

He's had two 100-yard games, but didn't score in either of them. In fact, he's found the end zone just once this season. He'll look to get going this week against the visiting Los Angeles Chargers.

The Chargers' defense should be better than it is, but they've been unable to generate much pressure on opposing quarterbacks. The Chargers generated 43 sacks last season, the fifth-most in the NFL. Without Joey Bosa yet to play this year, however, they have just 11, which would put them on pace to finish with 8 fewer than last year.

Without the pressure, their defensive backs have struggled to contain the passing game. They have given up the sixth-most FanDuel points per game to wide receivers and the third-most to WR1s.

Landry is in a position to break out if he can just find the end zone. That may seem far-fetched, but we have him modeled for 0.43 touchdowns in Week 6, giving him the 15th-highest touchdown projection at his position.

We have his upside projected at 26.5 FanDuel points this week. There may be flashier players and games on the board this week, but Landry has been consistently targeted, and our models say that this could be the week he busts out.
