Buffalo Bills' Rushing Offense

We've got a similar conundrum in the upper tier of pricing. Both the aforementioned Bell and Todd Gurley are 10-point favorites, meaning they are elite options for the slate. Then Ezekiel Elliott -- assuming he plays -- and Leonard Fournette have favorable matchups. It's hard to narrow down this list to just one.

Make sure you don't forget LeSean McCoy in the process.

McCoy is coming off of a mind-numbingly painful game last week in which he finshed with 12 carries for 25 yards and just 1 target. It was easily his worst game of the season, and it has pushed his price back down to $8,300. This situation for McCoy is radically different than what he had there.

In that game, the Buffalo Bills were on the road for a Thursday game to face the league's 12th-ranked rushing defense. Not only was it a Thursday game, but they were playing on short rest after McCoy had 27 carries and 7 targets just a few days before.

Now, the Bills are back at home, they're running on extra rest, and they'll be facing the league's 32nd-ranked rush defense in the New Orleans Saints. If it weren't for that Thursday-night blip, we'd be all over Shady this week. It's a good spot for him to bounce back.

The one point of concern here has more to do with the Saints' offense than their defense. They're riding a six-game winning streak, and we generally want our running backs on teams expected to win so as to increase their rushing volume. Although we're not getting that here, we can still target McCoy.

That safety blanket comes thanks to McCoy's involvement in the passing game. Even when you include his one-target game in Week 9, McCoy still leads all main-slate running backs with a 20.3% target market share. This could go down with Kelvin Benjamin now in the fold and Charles Clay potentially returning from injury, but we know McCoy will at least be in the game if the Bills are forced to attack through the air. That's reassuring.

While it's true that the Saints have been playing great defense recently, they have still allowed opposing running backs to gut them at times. Dalvin Cook started off the year with 127 yards rushing, and Aaron Jones and Jordan Howard have both topped the century mark against them within the past three games. McCoy's a solid bet for 20-plus carries, and none of those guys needed more than 23 totes to do their work.

Finally, this is just a game we want to focus on in general. The Bills are ranked seventh in situation-neutral pace, according to Football Outsiders, and the Saints are 12th. There figure to be plenty of plays in this game, pushing us to get exposure to both sides. When your workload is as high as McCoy's, he's a no-brainer way to get that when you're targeting the Bills.
