I'm gonna keep it one hunnit with you guys -- this is a brutal week for streaming quarterbacks. Most weeks, it's not terribly difficult to find a serviceable quarterback with some upside sitting on the waiver wire. This is not one of those weeks.

So, let's plug our noses, cross our fingers and turn to Jay Cutler, who is going to make his return this week after a one-game absence.

The Miami Dolphins' offense has been pitiful. There's really no other way to say it. They have the league's worst offense, according to our schedule-adjusted per-play metrics, and Cutler hasn't exactly lit it up in his return to the NFL, failing to top 14 fantasy points in any game this season.

But if you try hard enough, you can find some positives in Cutler's corner for his home matchup with the Oakland Raiders.

The most important thing here is that the Raiders have a bad defense. Per our metrics, they sit 30th in overall defense and 31st in passing defense. Oakland just let the Buffalo Bills rack up 34 points, and the Bills' offense -- outside of LeSean McCoy -- has fewer weapons than a pacifist. The Kansas City Chiefs put up 30 points and 425 yards on the Raiders the week before. Oakland is a dreamy matchup.

Secondly, the situation around Cutler appears to be improving, too. DeVante Parker is expected back after not playing since Week 5, and the trade of Jay Ajayi may mean Miami is going to lean on the passing game even more.

Again, Cutler isn't good and this could definitely blow up in our faces, but we have to make due on a bad week for streaming. Our models project Cutler as Week 9's QB18, forecasting him for 13.71 points. If he can do that, we'll take it.
