Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks

Overall ADP: 67th
nF Draft Kit Ranking: 49th

Casual fantasy football fans don’t often realize it, but the quality of a team's offensive line is one of the most crucial aspects of choosing a quarterback. If a quarterback doesn't have time to throw, his numbers will suffer.

The Seattle Seahawks have become synonymous with bad offensive line play. As a result, Russell Wilson's numbers suffered last season.

Wilson also struggled with health, playing through an ankle injury for much of the season. Without the mobility to evade pressure allowed by his offensive line, Wilson was a sitting duck in the pocket and unable to get outside it.

The 'Hawks offensive line is still an issue, although it's expected to be improved, but Wilson has a great supporting cast around him.

Seattle's receiving corps is a strong one, with wideouts Paul Richardson and Tyler Lockett returning from injury, rookie Amara Darboh joining the mix, and Kasen Williams and Tanner McEvoy stepping up into bigger roles. And then there's that Doug Baldwin guy along with tight end Jimmy Graham.

Now healthy, we project Wilson as our fifth-best fantasy quarterback in 2017. He's going in the middle of the sixth round of fantasy drafts, but we think he’s worth an early fifth.
