Plugging the Gaps: IDP Waiver Wire for Week 13

Green Bay pass-rusher Nick Perry can help pick up your fantasy defense this week.

The NFL season is a long haul. It takes stamina to make it all the way through a grueling fantasy season that -- while it doesn’t have the sheer volume of games that other fantasy sports do -- demands a lot of attention on the waiver wire in order to stay relevant on a weekly basis. Injuries happen, suspensions occur, and some players just turn out to be unexpectedly bad.

We have to stomach the pitfalls of the NFL in the Individual Defensive Player (IDP) format, just like everyone else. The only difference is that we add six to eleven players to our starting lineups. There is no greater test in my eyes than the rigors of running an offensive squad as well as a defensive unit on a fantasy football team.

Still, this column is here to help you sort through the muck and mire as you slog through tough waiver claims and worrisome lineup questions. We aim to be the IDP Gatorade that helps you replenish your energy and get back into the action on the virtual gridiron.
