In June, I wrote a piece about how running backs performed as favorites and underdogs and found that, among active running backs, the back on a favored team averages about 1.1 more fantasy points per game.

DeAngelo Williams falls into this category on Monday night. He told Father Time to back off in 2015 and went on to have his best season in years. Now he's the oldest active running back in the NFL and is set to start for the Steelers in place of the suspended Le'Veon Bell.

Throughout his years with the Carolina Panthers and Pittsburgh Steelers, Williams has excelled when his teams were favored, averaging 18.20 standard fantasy points per game as a favorite. To put that into perspective, he has only averaged 7.73 fantasy points per game as an underdog.

In 2015, Williams averaged 18.91 when the Steelers were favored.

The Steelers are road favorites in Washington on Monday Night Football. Williams is the 11th most expensive running back on Fanduel at $7,100, making him an ideal cash game option.
