3 NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on Tuesday 4/5/22

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at three players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Tre Jones, PG, San Antonio Spurs ($3,700)

Tre Jones could be one of the chalkiest value options on the entire slate tonight.

With Dejounte Murray listed as out for the San Antonio Spurs, Jones has stepped into the starting lineup in each of the last two games. This has allowed him to go for 34.5 and 39.9 FanDuel points, a level he could certainly reach tonight against the Denver Nuggets. This game has a big 234.0-point over/under and an 8.5-point spread, which should make this one of the better game environments on the slate.

The Nuggets are allowing 49.53 FanDuel points per game to point guards, which is the third-worst in the league, and putting Jones in an elite matchup.

All of this gives Jones a projection of 34.04 minutes and 32.4 FanDuel points, making him the top overall value option on the slate.

Ish Smith, PG, Washington Wizards ($3,900)

Even though Ish Smith isn't in the starting lineup, he's a great value option.

Smith has been coming off the bench for the Washington Wizards but is still producing plenty of fantasy points on a nightly basis. He's posted at least 21 FanDuel points in four straight games -- a great level of production for a player under $4,000.

The 238.5-point over/under versus the Minnesota Timberwolves should allow him to reach that level of production again. The Timberwolves (1st) are the league's fastest team in terms of offensive pace, while the Wizards (22nd) are in the bottom 10 of the league.

The extra possessions should help Smith rack up plenty of fantasy points, and that's exactly what he's projected to do with 28.03 minutes and 28.8 FanDuel points, putting him as the second-best value option on the slate.

Vit Krejci, PG, Oklahoma City Thunder ($4,300)

The Oklahoma City Thunder are the ultimate source of value in NBA DFS.

This is due to the fact they have a laundry list of players on their injury report, which opens up all sorts of value. Vit Krejci is a new regular in the starting lineup for the Thunder, regularly playing 30+ minutes on most nights.

This has allowed Krejci to post 22 FanDuel points or more in five of his last six games. The matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers is an easy one, and with a 221.0-point over/under and a 4.5-point spread, it should be a back and forth game with a lack of defense.

This puts Krejci in a spot to exceed fantasy value and be a key part of roster construction, allowing you to pay up for the top-tier stars.

Krejci comes in projected for 34.29 minutes and 28.5 FanDuel points, making him the sixth-best value option on the slate.
