3 Daily Fantasy Basketball Players to Avoid on 11/15/17

Kyle Lowry is coming off a huge game on Tuesday, but playing against the Pelicans on no rest could make him a player to avoid. Who else should you keep off your NBA DFS rosters for Wednesday's contests?

In daily fantasy basketball, finding players you want to roster is a lot easier than finding players to avoid.

You can find a ton of great information and research on guys you might want to include in your DFS NBA lineups, but what about guys you may want to lessen your exposure to -- or even fade altogether?

Avoiding players whose matchups or situations aren't as great as they seem can often be just as important as finding the best targets. After all, it only takes one player to sink a lineup. Searching for the landmines could mean the difference from winning or losing your contests.

Kyle Lowry, PG, Toronto Raptors

FanDuel Price: $7,300

One night after recording a double-double with 19 points on Tuesday, Kyle Lowry and the Toronto Raptors have to travel to face the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday, which has proven to be a tough place to play for opposing point guards.

The Pelicans are holding point guards to just 0.79 FanDuel points per minute, and Jrue Holiday has been a big part of that.

Holiday is holding players that he defends to just 43.7% shooting on the year, and Lowry has had some bad shooting nights against Holiday in the past. Even though Lowry is 18-for-34 in his last two games against Holiday, he is 24-for-65 (36.9%) in his six games prior to those two.

Avery Bradley, SG, Detroit Pistons

FanDuel Price: $6,100

Avery Bradley has been red hot in November, averaging 21.0 points per game and shooting 44.0% from downtown. However, he is running into a tough matchup on Wednesday against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Khris Middleton has been very good defensively and should be one of the main defenders on Bradley -- he's holding players he defends to 40.3% shooting from the floor.

As a team, the Bucks are holding shooting guards to just 0.74 FanDuel points per minute. With how well Bradley has been playing, he could be a higher-owned player tonight, which could have disastrous consequences to your lineups if he underperforms.

Lauri Markkanen, PF, Chicago Bulls

FanDuel Price: $5,800

With the return of Bobby Portis to the Chicago Bulls, rookie forward Lauri Markkanen has played fewer than 30 minutes in three straight games.

In Chicago's last game against the San Antonio Spurs, Markkanen only played 15 minutes because of injury, and even though he plans to play tonight, the matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder is not the greatest.

The Thunder are holding opposing power forwards to just 0.85 FanDuel points per minute. With Markkanen on the road and coming off an injury, it's not the night to take a chance on the rookie.
