Daily Fantasy Basketball Injury Report: Friday 2/24/17

On the second day back from the All-Star break, the injury report is full of guys trying to return from lengthy absences.

Friday's 10-game slate is full of injury news, but for the most part, it is good news.

There are several players making their returns tonight from week-long absences, so the bigger question is which among them will be returning to big minutes tonight.

Notable Injuries

Boston Celtics

Jaylen Brown is expected back tonight for the Boston Celtics, but Avery Bradley is still listed as doubtful. Bradley is looking like he'll be back soon, but for now, look for Brown to soak up a lot of his minutes, along with Marcus Smart. Gerald Green is also still out tonight.

Chicago Bulls

The Chicago Bulls are sporting a new rotation tonight with their trades they made on Thursday. Bobby Portis will start tonight and is a fine DFS option along with Nikola Mirotic. Dwyane Wade is also ready to return on Friday, but we have not heard anything yet on Paul Zipser.

Atlanta Hawks

Dennis Schroder's health is fine, but he has been suspended for one game after failing to report back to the team on time after the All-Star break. Malcolm Delaney will get the start tonight in his place. Also, Thabo Sefolosha is ready to go tonight as well. This might take Tim Hardaway Jr. out of play on Friday.

Indiana Pacers

Thaddeus Young is still listed as questionable but says he is leaning towards playing. With Lavoy Allen listed as questionable as well, it's possible Kevin Seraphin could see bigger minutes, especially if Young ends up missing again.

Chris Paul, Los Angeles Clippers

Chris Paul did not play last night against the Golden State Warriors, but there is a chance he could play tonight. It was thought that he would be back last night, but since the Los Angeles Clippers are on the back-to-back tonight, it may be the night he returns. He has been medically cleared, so watch out for further updates later in the afternoon or evening.

Enes Kanter, Oklahoma City Thunder

Enes Kanter is also ready to play on Friday after punching a chair, but with the acquisition of Taj Gibson, the Oklahoma City Thunder frontcourt is suddenly muddy. Kanter's return also hurts Steven Adams' value a little.

Pau Gasol, San Antonio Spurs

Pau Gasol will play tonight for the San Antonio Spurs. His return will take minutes away from Dewayne Dedmon and David Lee.

Rodney Hood, Utah Jazz

After missing 12 of the Utah Jazz's last 15 games, Rodney Hood is also prepared to play tonight. Check back and see if he'll be on a minutes limit, but he will take away minutes from Joe Ingles and Alec Burks regardless.

Jeremy Lin, Brooklyn Nets

Jeremy Lin has played in only 12 games this season due to a few different hamstring injuries, but he will be in the starting lineup tonight for the Brooklyn Nets. There has been no word on a minutes limit, but considering he has been out forever, he could be looking at 25-plus minutes tonight. He is a nice tournament flier in his return.

Joel Embiid, Philadelphia 76ers

Before the break, it looked like Joel Embiid would return after All-Star weekend, but he has been ruled out for the next four games. The Philadelphia 76ers are obviously playing it safe with their franchise player, so for now, Jahlil Okafor is an excellent value play tonight and while Embiid is out.

Josh Richardson, Miami Heat

Josh Richardson is expected to play on Friday, but know that the Miami Heat are pretty healthy. It's not clear what his minutes or role in the rotation will be on a team that had been playing well prior to the break.
