Similar to last night with Justin Verlander, Luis Severino stands alone at the top of Wednesday's main slate, but a tough matchup against the Oakland Athletics leaves him as hardly a must-play. The Colorado Rockies once again lead the way on offense at Coors Field against the San Francisco Giants, but Arlington could also be bumping between the Los Angeles Angels and Texas Rangers, and the Pittsburgh Pirates and Houston Astros also draw soft matchups.

High-Priced Pitcher

Luis Severino ($10,800 on FanDuel): Luis Severino may not fully have our trust back yet, but after posting a 3.17 SIERA, 29.2% strikeout rate, and 5.6% walk rate in the month of August, even with a 4.86 ERA, he's more resembling the ace that was dominating earlier in the year. However, a matchup against the Athletics certainly won't ease our minds, as they've posted the third-best wRC+ against righties on the year (109). Still, Oakland Coliseum is far more pitcher-friendly than Yankee Stadium, helping Severino to an appealing 3.35 implied total. He's the top option on the board, but when considering price and matchup, you can hardly be blamed if you're tempted by some of the cheaper alternatives.
