8. Bruce Gradkowski, 2006

Bruce Gradkowski's career as a perennial backup quarterback is quite possibly due to his very inefficient rookie season in 2006. It shouldn’t really come as a surprise that Gradkowski was the starter that year for the Bucs -- Chris Simms and Tim Rattay were the other options -- but the results were not pretty.

He completed just 54 percent of his passes, including 9 touchdowns and 9 interceptions. Tampa Bay’s offense mustered only 20 total touchdowns all season, ranking 31st in the league in points per game (13.2).

Gradkowski posted the third-worst Passing NEP per play (-0.20) mark among the 290 quarterbacks with 300 or more attempts since 2006, and the sixth-worst Success Rate (37.32%) during the same span. Unsurprisingly, the Bucs' finished 4-12, miles from playoff contention.
