ALERT! ALERT! A revenge narrative game is on the horizon!

Let me be clear about something. Usually, revenge narrative games tend to elicit the most sarcastic, "yeah, whatever Mom!" type of eye-rolls from me. But this one I can't help but feel a bit different about. Because if you don’t think Rex Ryan is exactly the kind of coach that will try and beat an opponent with one of his players facing off against his former squad in which he left on bad terms with, then you don't know Rex Ryan. Hence, we find ourselves targeting LeSean McCoy this weekend.

Despite the revenge narrative, which I am buying into for workload reasons, there are plenty of reasons to believe McCoy would succeed even if he wasn’t provided a little extra fire in his belly. First, Karlos Williams, whose in-game role was already dwindling in recent weeks until he sat out in Week 13, still hasn't returned to practice and is looking highly questionable to play on Sunday, which would guarantee Shady more touches.

Next, McCoy's been straight dealing for his fantasy owners in recent weeks, accumulating 100 total yards in six straight games to go with three touchdowns. He should have ample opportunity to expand his streak against the 22nd-ranked Eagles' rush defense, which was gashed by Doug Martin for 235 rushing yards a couple of weeks back. And aside from last week, McCoy had been very active in the passing game to much success, receiving five targets or more in the previous three games.

Don't let the revenge narrative be the only factor that leads you to rostering McCoy, but recognize that it aligns with already favorable conditions. Get him in your lineups.
