Running Back: Lamar Miller

Lamar Miller, RB, Miami Dolphins
14 Rushes, 175 Yards, 1 Touchdown
3 Receptions, 61 Yards, 3 Targets, 1 Touchdown
NEP: +14.76

The Dolphins' 44-26 win wasn't just a result of Ryan Tannehill's terrific outing. Teammate Lamar Miller had his hand in the win, piling up 236 total yards on 17 touches with two touchdowns.

The Houston defense didn't have an answer for anything that Miller did as he made things look easy, picking up yardage in big chunks. 11 of his 17 touches went for 5 or more yards, including possibly the biggest play of the week in his 85-yard touchdown run.

Miller's turned around his game substantially with the additional volume he's been given under the new coaching regime. Miller had been seeing less than 15 touches per game in his first four games. He has now seen 21 and 17 touches the last two weeks, and his performance has elevated with the increase in opportunities, ranking as the RB9 and RB1 in PPR fantasy scoring over that time span.

Miller's +14.76 NEP is the highest single-week performance we've seen yet this season from a running back. Coming in at a rather distant +10.21 is San Diego's Danny Woodhead who capitalized on Melvin Gordon's reduced playing time and racked up over 100 yards and 2 scores. Doug Martin, Todd Gurley, and T.J. Yeldon all had fantastic outings as well from both a fantasy and metric-driven perspective.
