In what seemed like a blink of the eye, the Raiders were up 30-3 by halftime visiting the Chargers, largely due to their defense making big plays and Derek Carr capitalizing on short field positions.

Carr finished the day 24 for 31 while throwing for 289 yards and 3 touchdowns. His team played so efficiently that Oakland essentially took their foot off the gas pedal and coasted to a 37-29 road victory. Carr's success was buoyed by big performances from Amari Cooper (5 receptions, 133 yards, 1 touchdown) and Michael Crabtree (6 receptions, 63 yards, 1 touchdown) as the highly rated San Diego secondary was unable to live up to their recent reputation.

Carr has had a terrific sophomore campaign to date as his Passing NEP now ranks ninth among all signal callers, a significant jump from his 2014 rookie year where he ranked 42nd of the 43 quarterbacks with at least 100 drop backs. His second year working with offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave has paid off to date, as Carr is on pace to shatter last year's marks in nearly every significant category.

Ryan Tannehill and the Dolphins were able to coast to a similar game script as they blew the Texans out of the water this weekend. Tannehill was highly efficient completing 18 of 19 drop backs for 282 yards and 4 touchdowns with his receivers making highlight reel plays after the catch. Tom Brady had another dominating performance by throwing for 355 yards and scoring 3 total touchdowns in a 30-23 win. Kirk Cousins bested rookie Jameis Winston this week, throwing for 317 yards and scoring 4 total touchdowns, pulling off an exciting win against Tampa Bay.
