Wide Receiver: Mike Evans

Mike Evans, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
8 Receptions, 164 Yards, 12 Targets, 1 TD
NEP: +15.07

Coming off their bye week, Mike Evans and Jameis Winston must have spent some extra time at practice, as Winston heavily targeted Evans 12 times throughout the day. The young duo connected for eight receptions for 164 yards and a beautiful 40-yard touchdown.

Evans looked fresh coming out of the bye after given an extra week to recover from ailing injuries and dominated Washington's secondary throughout the entire game. His 164 yards led the league this week and was the second highest total of the young receiver's career to date. He could've gone for an even bigger outing, but an offensive pass interference nullified a second touchdown. He was able to shake loose coverage all game, and Washington should consider themselves lucky Winston didn't target him more often.

Evans' +15.07 NEP paced all receivers this week as he edged out Houston's garbage time hero Nate Washington and his +14.10. Washington took over the DeAndre Hopkins role this week and picked up 127 yards and 2 touchdowns. T.Y. Hilton had a horrific day from a catch rate standpoint (Hilton caught 4 of 15 passes targeted his way) but was able to make some explosive plays for 150 yards and 2 scores. Rookie Stefon Diggs has established himself as the top receiver in Minnesota with 28 targets over the last three weeks, and he was able to score his first professional touchdown on a ridiculous diving play for the 36-yard score.
