Mark Sanchez, QB, Philadelphia Eagles

Mark Sanchez, "The Sanchize", was a very hot pickup when Nick Foles went down to a broken collarbone in Week 9. I actually wrote about the plug-and-play nature of the quarterback in Chip Kelly's "Blur" offensive system, and how Sanchez is seeing a career resurgence because of this up-tempo, simplified scheme. He's delivered respectably since then, putting up 21 points against the formerly-vaunted Carolina Panthers, but there are some shreds of concern in his otherwise fascinating story.

Since taking over this Eagles offense, Sanchez has thrown for more than 300 yards in back-to-back games, and tossed 6 touchdowns, but he has equaled his touchdown mark in turnovers, primarily by throwing 2 interceptions and fumbling twice against the Packers in Week 11. He now goes up against a Tennessee defense that ranks 18th in the league in Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP, but is holding opposing quarterbacks to the ninth-fewest fantasy points this season. Expect Sanchez to be under fire all day from the creative blitz schemes that Titans defensive coordinator Ray Horton like to run. Sanchez himself isn't fully plug-and-play, even if his system positions him perfectly for that. Bench him this week.
