3 Fantasy Football Defensive Streaming Options for Week 16

The Tennessee Titans host Josh Johnson and the Washington Redskins in Week 16. Which other defenses sitting on the waiver wire can you pick up and play this week?

Our top streaming option came through in a big way for us in Week 15, one of the most important weeks of the fantasy season. The Atlanta Falcons bulldozed the Arizona Cardinals 40-14 and posted the best weekly score of any defense on the slate.

In standard scoring leagues, the Falcons put up 20 points, which could've been a huge difference maker in a week where offensive scoring was down across the board.

Elsewhere, our secondary streaming options were not as appealing. Both the Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions finished outside the top-20 in weekly scoring.

But with the Falcons 20-point performance, our top weekly streaming option this year is averaging 10.0 points per game. That's the second best per-game average through 15 weeks, trailing only the Chicago Bears (12.3 points per game).

With many fantasy championships being played in Week 16, this will be the final version of this article for 2018. As always, we're scanning the waiver wire to identify low-owned teams set up with a great matchup. The focus is on teams owned in about 50% or fewer of Yahoo fantasy leagues. Our goal is to pinpoint teams poised to be a top-12 scorer (start-able in standard leagues) for that given week.

Here are three defenses you can pick up off the waiver wire and play in Week 16.
