While its raw numbers may not have been quite as impressive as those of New Orleans or Buffalo, the quality of the opponent it blew out gives Tennessee a good case for being the team of the week.

The Titans took down the visiting Patriots 34-10, and as a result, they moved up seven spots in the rankings (the biggest improvement of the week).

Tennessee was fifth in the league in Net Success Rate (+8.7%) and sixth in Net NEP per play (+0.32), thanks largely to a dominant performance on defense.

The Titans’ pass rush made life difficult for Tom Brady all game, while it also denied his receivers' separation. New England’s offense came into the week ranked fourth in the NFL in success rate (48.9%) but was last in Week 10 (36.8%) alone.

As impressive as Sunday was, our model is still not fully buying into Tennessee, due mainly to a subpar offense. The Titans are only averaging 5.0 yards per play and despite the strong defensive performances, they have been out-gained in terms of total yardage (-261) and on a per-play basis (-0.3).
