After Week 6, the 3-3 Jets were coming off back-to-back wins and were 21st in our rankings. A playoff berth remained unlikely but was not implausible (their playoff odds were about 20%), and they also had a top 10 defense by NEP.

Things have come crashing down since and hit rock bottom on Sunday thanks to a 41-10 home loss to the Bills, who came into the game ranked 31st.

That defense fell 18 spots in our NEP ranks thanks to a ghastly performance against the team that had scored a combined 46 points in its last 6 games. The previously hapless Bills offense was tied for fifth in the league in NEP per play for Week 10, while the Jets were dead last (and also posted the second-lowest success rate of the week, behind New England).

As mentioned in the intro, New Orleans paced the league in terms of Net NEP per play, but Buffalo was second at +0.55.

Granted, the Jets were without starting quarterback Sam Darnold, but the rookie has struggled this season; New York came into Week 10 ranked 29th in Passing Success Rate.
