Trenton Cannon, RB, New York Jets

There were two factors giving Trenton Cannon a big boost last week, leading to him out-snapping Isaiah Crowell and playing 54% of the New York Jets' offensive snaps (compared to only 46% for Crowell).

Bilal Powell landed on the injured reserve, giving Cannon first dibs on the passing-down work, and the Jets lost by 14, forcing them to go pass-heavy while playing from behind.

Powell is, obviously, still on the shelf, and while this week's game doesn't project to be quite as lopsided, the Jets are still 3.0-point underdogs against Miami. Even if we don't see Cannon lead the backfield in snaps again, he should get another healthy workload.

He has seen 5 and 4 targets in his last two games, and while last week's outing was an inefficient one (10 yards on 6 carries, 3 receptions and 12 yards on 4 targets), efficiency over a one-game sample isn't something to be worried about.

Targets are nearly twice as valuable as carries for fantasy production, and Cannon's passing-game workload keeps him in play this week.
