Checking in as an eighth-point underdog this week against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Baker Mayfield and the Browns should be chucking the football quite a bit given the expected game script. As Mayfield has shown to start his career, however, inefficiency often trumps volume, and we can expect that same thing this week.

With Pittsburgh coming off of their bye after allowing the sixth-most passing yards per game through the first six weeks, we should see a rejuvenated and rested unit licking their chops against a rookie signal-caller. The Browns also have just a 20.5 implied team total, which is the third-lowest on the main slate. Mayfield is 27th in passing yards per attempt among qualified candidates, and he has averaged two turnovers and five sacks through his first three starts.

Even after showing some life last week against the lowly Buccaneers' secondary, this is still a spot to avoid. We have a rookie quarterback on the road facing a team fresh off their bye and in the same division. It's a recipe for disaster and, if anything, we should be firing up the Pittsburgh D/ST with confidence.
