3 Daily Fantasy Football Players to Avoid in Week 8

We knew coming into the 2018 season that second-year stud Christian McCaffrey was bound to receive an uptick in touches after functioning as a part-timer last year. While the targets and catches have been there, it has been surprising to see McCaffrey only receive more than 10 carries 2 times in 6 contests. Outside of a monster 28-carry, 184-yard day against the Bengals in Week 3, he has only ran for a combined 194 yards in his other five games.

A matchup with the Ravens does nothing to instill confidence in this spot for McCaffrey this week, as Baltimore ranks fifth in terms of yards per attempted allowed in the NFL (3.8). After slowing the high-powered Saints' rushing attack to just 3.4 yards per attempt last week, the Ravens should have little difficulty showing up against the Panthers and their low 20.75 point implied team total.

With volume concerns capping his rushing upside, and coupled with a stiff matchup against a stout Baltimore defense, McCaffrey is a guy we should be underweight on in Week 8. The targets and catches should still be there, but they won't be enough to justify the other question marks, especially at this price.
