Jalen Richard, RB, Oakland Raiders

DraftKings Price: $4,200

Projected Points: 11.12

Projected Value (points per $1,000): 2.65

With Marshawn Lynch being sidelined for the season, an opportunity will open up for Jalen Richard to seize a bigger role within the Oakland Raiders' offense. Primarily a pass catcher, Richard is positioned in a good matchup against the Indianapolis Colts.

The loss of Lynch means 50% of running back snaps are being vacated, with 17.5 touches per game available. Richard is most likely not in line to inherit that entirety of that load, as his highest carry total has been five this year, but Doug Martin has been largely ineffective with his touches and hasn't been on the field for more than 25% of the teams snaps in any game. The other running back on the roster, DeAndre Washington, hasn't even recorded a snap this season. In short, there is uncertainty here, but Richard could be inline for more carries.

Richard has had a high-target floor this season, posting five targets or more in six of seven games. Richard has quietly been in the top 12 of running back targets in the league, possessing a 17% target market share despite being a part-time player.

It's a common strategy to target the running back that plays the Atlanta Falcons every week, but with them off the slate, we can opt to using the second-best option, which happens to be the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts have allowed the second-most targets to running backs and are tied for second-most catches allowed -- perfect for DraftKings.

In a matchup in which points can be expected, Richard shouldn't be forgotten in lineups where fantasy players are looking to game stack and need correlation.
