Kenny Golladay, WR, Detroit Lions

FanDuel Price: $7,000

DraftKings Price: $6,000

It's hard to argue with Kenny Golladay's breakout in production so far in 2018, and he's getting close to fade-at-your-own-risk territory. While I am high on Golladay as a fantasy play this week overall, in DFS we have to take a stand somewhere.

With a 23% market share of targets among the Lions' pass catchers, Golladay's 8.2 targets per game should be a relatively safe weekly projection moving forward. There are concerns this week, however, with how efficient Golladay will be, as he will spend a good portion of his afternoon locked up with up-and-coming cornerback Xavien Howard.

Howard hasn't quite reached lockdown status yet, as evidenced by the 21.3 yards per catch he is allowing, but he is tied for the NFL lead in interceptions with 3, and has proven his stock in the past against high-profile receivers. The other piece to the puzzle that casts a shadow on Golladay's outlook is quarterback Matthew Stafford's career home/road splits, which show a substantial drop in efficiency outside of Ford Field's fast track. Stafford has a quarterback rating of 91.1 at home to go along with a 1.92 touchdown-to-interception ratio, while those numbers drop to an 85.8 rating and a 1.74 TD/INT ratio on the road.

Taking a stand on Golladay this week certainly invites some stomach discomfort, but with cheap options at the position on FanDuel like Jermaine Kearse ($5,000), Marquise Goodwin ($5,500) and Taylor Gabriel ($5,900), Golladay doesn't need to be forced into lineups with a less than desirable draw.
