New Orleans Saints' Wide Receivers

As of right now, there is only one New Orleans Saints wide receiver going in the first 10 rounds of 12-teams drafts. That's Michael Thomas, who's coming off the board at the beginning of the second round. For an offense led by Drew Brees, having Thomas as the lone ranger seems like a mistake.

On one hand, it does make sense that this group would be pushed back. Both Thomas and Alvin Kamara demand plenty of targets, and Mark Ingram will get his, too, when he's back from suspension. But to just completely ignore these other guys seems mis-guided.

You can get Ted Ginn Jr. at the end of the 14th, but we sort of know what to expect from Ginn. He had some solid games last year, but he also topped five targets in just five games. Instead, the big name to monitor seems to be Cameron Meredith.

Meredith is coming off of a brutal knee injury, but he avoided the PUP list and is already on the field.

If Meredith can stay healthy and get some shots with the first-team offense, he'll be worth his cost, even as it rises from its current slot in the 11th round.
