Running Back

Chalk

With four consecutive weeks of at least 22 points on FanDuel (including a 33.8-point performance last week), it would be shocking if Alvin Kamara doesn't have at least 10-15% ownership Sunday. The Carolina Panthers have given up the fourth-fewest points against running backs this season, yet I don't think a tough matchup is going to stop the love for a fantasy freight train. Kamara scored 11.7 points on only 5 touches when he faced the Panthers in Week 3.

Leonard Fournette should prove popular against an Indianapolis Colts defense that let Chris Ivory and T.J. Yeldon run wild in Week 7 when Fournette was out. Perhaps the best matchup of the week, though, is Jordan Howard against the league-worst rushing defense of the San Francisco 49ers. Those punting the position will likely look towards Jamaal Williams, especially if both Aaron Jones and Ty Montgomery are confirmed out.

Pivot

Alex Collins, $5,900 (vs. Detroit Lions)

Alex Collins has been a surprisingly consistent fantasy producer recently, scoring at least 12.7 points in three of his last four games. He and the Baltimore Ravens have a home date against a Detroit Lions run defense that has given up nearly 23 points per game, fifth worst in the league. A large reason for this is they've given up 11 rushing touchdowns, second only to the Bills.

Though the Baltimore backfield is crowded with Javorius Allen and Danny Woodhead, it is Collins who has been seeing the red zone touches of late. While Allen has 20 to Collins' 9 on the season, Collins has 8 red zone carries to Allens' 3 in the past three weeks, according to Pro Football Reference. If anybody is to take advantage of Detroit's running deficiencies, it's Collins.

He's also been involved in the passing game, catching six passes in the past two games despite Woodhead's presence. At only $5,900, he does not need to do much to return value. Unless Flacco decides to transmogrify into some magical passing god, Collins should have ample opportunity to do so.
