Running Back

Chalk

The players with the most interest at running back this week have to be the magnificent New Orleans Saints duo of Mark Ingram and rookie Alvin Kamara, who are averaging 7.125 and 7.2 yards per carry in November, respectively. There are 23 quarterbacks who have thrown at least 10 passes during this month whose yards per attempt are lower than those astronomical figures.

The dynamic duo face a Los Angeles Rams defense that is giving up the fourth-most FanDuel points to running backs on the season. If that's not a recipe for high ownership, I'm not exactly sure what is.

Kareem Hunt should see decent ownership against a terrible Bills defense, but it's a much murkier situation than it should be given Andy Reid's penchant for throwing the ball repeatedly in 50 mph gusts. Tevin Coleman will likely prove popular in a home game against Tampa Bay, while Dion Lewis will likely see some love as the Patriots are favored heavily.

Pivot

DeMarco Murray, $6,500 (at Indianapolis Colts)

DeMarco Murray doesn't seem to be on a ton of radars, yet he should be. Murray has faced the Indianapolis Colts three times as a member of the Tennessee Titans. In those games, he has scored at least 15.4 FanDuel points, including a 16.7-point effort against them in Week 6. He has scored a touchdown in each of his four career games against them.

The Colts have not allowed a running back to find paydirt in the past three weeks, but leading backs have caught at least three passes and totaled at least 91 yards in each of those contests. Their defense ranks seventh against the position, giving up just under 23 points on a weekly basis.

At only $6,500, Murray needs just 13 points to return two-times value. He may not have the upside of the Saints' rushers (does anybody?), but his floor is solid and he has enough of a ceiling to warrant use in GPPs.
