The Saints Lead the NFL With a Point Differential of 132 Over the Past Eight Weeks

In case you haven't heard, the New Orleans Saints are riding a historical eight-game winning streak.

After being outscored by opponents by an average of 13.0 points over their first two games while falling to 0-2, the Saints have won by at least 20 points in four of their past eight games, averaging a 16.5-point gap per game over their opponents. Their average of 32.9 points over that span is just 0.9 points less than the league-leading Philadelphia Eagles, and the Saints' 16.4 points allowed per game is the third-fewest behind only Minnesota (15.9) and the Jacksonville Jaguars (12.1).

The high-scoring offense is not much of a surprise after New Orleans averaged the second-most (29.3) points per game of any team last season, but the defense has improved significantly after allowing the second-most (28.4) points per game of any team last season.

New Orleans will get a real test on both sides of the ball in Week 12 against the St. Louis Rams, who are scoring the second-most (30.3) points per game of any team this season, while giving up the sixth-fewest (16.8) points per game.
