Tyrell Williams, WR, Los Angeles Chargers

That Tyrell Williams hadn't made this weekly column yet this season is a testament to how good I think he can be. Prior to the season, it wasn't hard to subscribe to the idea that Williams' breakout 2016 campaign would continue despite the return of Keenan Allen and the Los Angeles Chargers spending a first round pick on rookie wideout Mike Williams.

Why? Well, Williams' 0.78 Reception NEP per target ranked 10 out of the 41 receivers with over 100 targets in 2016. His 92.62 Reception NEP ranked 12th out of that same cohort, despite only ranking 22nd in total targets. So he was a big play waiting to happen, and it happened a lot last season.

But it's time to admit defeat, albeit belatedly. Williams is averaging a meager 3.25 targets per game across his last four games, ranking sixth on the team in that timeframe. Moreover, Mike WIlliams garnered eight targets in Week 11, meaning the Chargers may finally be ready to make a productive player out of their recent early-round investment.

Tyrell's story as an undrafted wideout who went on to post a 69-catch, 1,059-yard season in 2016 is impressive. But it isn't helping you in 2017.

With too few chances to make an impact, he's just rotting on your bench at this point. At this point, even a speculative Josh Gordon waiver claim would make more sense than clinging onto Williams.
