Fantasy Football: 3 Players You Can Drop After Week 11

Javorius Allen, RB, Baltimore Ravens

Yahoo Ownership: 54%

Getting 10 weeks of useful fantasy football productivity out of Javorius Allen was certainly more than you expected headed into the season.

It wasn't that Allen was that good. His -0.08 Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) per attempt ranks 21st out of the 29 running backs with at least 100 carries this season. And his 33.94% Rushing Success Rate -- percentage of runs that led to an NEP gain -- ranks 19th out of that same cohort. So he's been decidedly below average this season running the ball.

But Allen's calling in this Baltimore Ravens' offense was his ability to catch passes out of the backfield, currently ranking eighth among all running backs this season in receptions.

Unfortunately for Allen owners, we knew his day of reckoning would come. And with the return of Danny Woodhead, Allen's usefulness has been sapped.

Allen quickly faded into obscurity in Week 11, logging only 17% of team snaps in Woodhead's first game back from a hamstring injury suffered back in Week 1. With Woodhead getting his legs under him in Week 11, expect Allen's role to fade even more moving forward.

Drop Allen without hesitation for Samaje Perine, who looks to inherit a large workload for the remainder of the season.
