Andrew Luck, QB, Indianapolis Colts

Yahoo Ownership: 46%

If you drafted Andrew Luck, you probably got him at what seemed to be a nice discount as the 10th quarterback coming off the board, per Fantasy Pros average draft position data. And yes, it is true that, when healthy, Luck is one of the few top tier fantasy quarterbacks who can serve as a set-it-and-forget-it option at the position.

But fantasy football is a constant exercise in checking your biases and facing the music. And it's time to face the music that the bench spot Luck is hogging on your roster would be much better spent on a high-upside receiver or running back. Or even, you know, a player likely to be active at some point in the next month.

With the Indianapolis Colts playing coy all summer on Luck's status and then not placing him on the PUP list, owners were rightfully convinced they'd see Luck on the field before Week 6. But here we are headed into Week 8, and he's suffered a recent setback in practice that has left him once again with no timeline to return.

The hopes of Luck returning at any point to benefit your team in the latter half of the season seem to be getting smaller. Do yourself a favor and drop the Luck heartache and start streaming the position for waiver-wire quarterbacks with upcoming plus matchups.
