Fantasy Football Quarterback Streaming Week 8: Case Keenum Is Here for Us

Josh McCown has quietly been one of the biggest surprises this season -- in both real life and in fantasy. Working with a ragtag group of wideouts and a banged-up backfield, McCown has helped the New York Jets play competitive football in 2017, something not many people were expecting.
The journeyman has been a pretty darn good fantasy producer, too, especially in the right matchups. Overall, he's currently the QB13, leading Matt Ryan, last year's MVP, in fantasy points per game. McCown has put up 24.26 and 25.46 fantasy points, respectively, in matchups with the New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins over the past two weeks, and he has a home date with the Atlanta Falcons in Week 8.
Atlanta has allowed a passing touchdown in each game this season, and they've had games against Mike Glennon and Jay Cutler (h/t to JJ Zachariason). Our metrics have the Falcons ranked 25th in pass defense despite their decent looking overall stats.
The Jets are 4.0-point home dogs with a 21.25-point implied total -- neither of which is ideal -- but our projections have McCown as Week 8's QB20. He's firmly on the radar in two-quarterback formats, and he can be a streaming play in deeper leagues.
