4. Dalvin Cook, RB, Minnesota Vikings

Minnesota Vikings rookie sensation Dalvin Cook was off to a tremendous start to his career, racking up 354 yards and 3 touchdowns before injuring his knee midway through his Week 4 matchup against the Detroit Lions. He posted an impressive 43.24% Success Rate to go along with a strong Rushing NEP per rush of 0.04.

Cook was dominating touches in his backfield, demonstrating his outstanding burst and vision as he became an instant star for one of the most effective offenses in the NFL. His 5-catch, 72-yard performance in a Week 3 win over Tampa Bay Buccaneers highlighted his ability to be an all-purpose three-down back.

With his NFL Combine failures firmly in the rearview mirror, Cook was steadily climbing back to the top of the rookie rankings. But with most of his rookie season now lost to injury -- as well as the uncertainty of how he will fare following his surgery and rehab -- it’s fair to associate plenty of risk with this selection.

Still, given his impressive start, he should remain one of the top selections in rookie drafts and might just be one of the more impactful running backs in fantasy football for years to come.
