Running Back: C.J. Anderson, Denver Broncos

C.J. Anderson, RB, Denver Broncos
25 Rushes, 118 Yards, 1 Touchdown
3 Receptions, 36 Yards, 3 Targets, 1 Touchdown

Performance Score: 98; NEP: 6.15

For the Broncos' C.J. Anderson, something always seems to get in the way of his potential breakout season. At times, it's been injuries, or perhaps concerns about his conditioning, but on Sunday, everything was clicking for the former undrafted free agent.

Bolstered by the somewhat surprisingly effective performance of quarterback Trevor Siemian, Anderson was dominant against an overmatched Dallas Cowboys defense, amassing 154 total yards and 2 touchdowns and asserting full control of what was once a crowded backfield. With Devontae Booker sidelined with an injury and Jamaal Charles earning only a small role given durability concerns, this has been Anderson's job to lose, and he certainly hasn't lost it.

Health has been the major obstacle standing in the way of a true Anderson breakout season over the past few years, and he played in just seven games in 2016. If he can remain on the field and Siemian can keep defenses honest, perhaps this is the year where he finally fulfills the potential he has flashed early in his career.
