7 NFL FanDuel Studs to Target in Week 2

On the other side of what's projected to be the highest-scoring game this week is Drew Brees, who has led the NFL in passing yards in each of the past three seasons.

He was only able to find the end zone once in Week 1, but he did manage 291 yards against the stout defense of the Minnesota Vikings, who held opposing quarterbacks to the seventh-fewest fantasy points per game last season. Brees gets a much easier matchup in Week 2 against the Patriots, who allowed Alex Smith to throw for more yards (368) and touchdowns (4) than any other player in the opening week of this season.

New Orleans struggled to run the ball in their opening game, averaging just 2.9 yards per carry as a team. And with the Patriots favored by 6.5 points, Brees will likely be leaned on to throw a bunch in this game if the game script unfolds as expected.

Since 2006, when Brees has played as an underdog of at least 6.0 points, he has averaged 28.73 fantasy points per game. After seeing what Smith did to the Patriots in Week 1, we project Brees to have a big week in his first home game of the season.
