In both our projections and FanDuel salaries, the Miami D/ST is an average option this week -- they’re ranked 10th in our projections while having the 12th-most expensive FanDuel salary. But looking deeper, the Dolphins could finish as a top-five FanDuel defense in Week 14.
They’re facing Arizona, who will be traveling across the country for this matchup. The Cardinals have been terrible in road games this season as opposing defenses have averaged 13.2 FanDuel points per game in these matchups. In five road contests, the opposing defense has scored 19 or more FanDuel points three times.
Their miserable play can mostly be attributed to Carson Palmer -- on the road this season, he’s thrown eight of his 11 total interceptions while posting 6.4 yards-per-attempt (1.1 yards lower than his home average of 7.5).
The Miami defense is capable of big fantasy performances as they’ve had three games this season of at least 13 FanDuel points -- 17 versus San Diego, 13 versus Seattle, and 13 versus the Jets. They’ve forced multiple turnovers in six games and have recorded at least three sacks on five separate occasions. With their enormous upside and likely low ownership, the Dolphins are a great tournament play.
