Minnesota Vikings

FanDuel Price: $4,900
Projections: 24.38 points allowed, 2.36 sacks, 1.72 turnovers, 0.22 touchdowns

What gives? The Minnesota D/ST sits a lowly 20th in our Week 10 projections, but they’re one of the top three FanDuel defenses to target?

That is correct. Their salary has finally dropped to a reasonable level -- since Week 3, when they were $4,400, their salary has increased every single week until they reached their $5,300 peak last week against the Detroit Lions. So the first reason to use them this week is that they’re much cheaper than they have been recently.

Secondly, they face Washington this week, who will be without star offensive tackle Trent Williams because of a suspension. The team will shuffle around some pieces, but this is a major blow to not only the pass protection for Kirk Cousins, but also the Redskins’ effectiveness in the run game.

Minnesota is currently allowing the fifth-fewest FanDuel points to opposing quarterbacks this season. In the five games where Cousins has faced a top-five FanDuel defense in his career, he’s thrown six interceptions and has failed to eclipse 260 passing yards in all but one contest.

With mediocre projections and being a three-point Vegas underdog, the Minnesota D/ST will likely go majorly overlooked in Week 10. But the situation and history of the Washington offense suggests that you should be rostering them in as many tournament lineups as you can.
