Colin Kaepernick, QB, San Francisco 49ers

Colin Kaepernick got his first start of the season last week and showed a lot of promise from a fantasy perspective. He finished as the QB14 on the week with 18.08 fantasy points in a matchup against a Buffalo Bills defense that has allowed the league's fewest fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season.

He didn't have an especially good day through the air, but he showed what gives him so much fantasy appeal, running for 66 yards on eight carries (and forcing four missed tackles, per Pat Thorman of ProFootballFocus). This running ability gives a bump to both his floor and ceiling in any given week.

He also has a much more favorable matchup this week, taking on a Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense that ranks 25th in Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP per play.
