Fantasy Football: 10 Players Who Won't Live Up to the Hype

DeVante Parker, WR, Miami Dolphins

About a month ago, DeVante Parker was being drafted in the middle of the sixth round. Now, he's slipped to the middle of the eighth. That's a much more reasonable price for the unproven product, but it's still too high.

Miami Dolphins head coach Adam Gase is getting frustrated with Parker, who is missing time with ostensibly minor injuries, and Kenny Stills has been taking on significant work in his stead.

In 2015, Parker hauled in 26 of 50 targets, netting 1.89 Reception NEP per catch -- best among 86 receivers with at least 50 looks. Per target (0.98), he ranked fourth. So, he's fared well when on the field, but he might find himself out of the rotation.

And you can think that Stills is no threat to a player as efficient as Parker, but Stills actually led all receivers in per-target Reception NEP in both 2013 and 2014 with the New Orleans Saints.

Even if Stills and injuries don't keep Parker off the field for good, the hype is too great right now for the second-year man in an average passing offense.
