DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Helper: Friday 9/25/20

With one game to choose from on today's NBA slate, let's look at how to utilize the DFS possibilities.

Here are some of the top plays on DraftKings. As always, good luck.

Captain Considerations

Jayson Tatum ($15,900) -- Tatum was held scoreless in the first half of Game 3 then erupted for 28 points in the second half, but it still wasn't enough to earn the win. Tatum has registered averages of 26.0 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 5.3 assists in the four-game series. He's missed only two free throws in the entire series out of 26 attempts and has shot 45.6% from the field. Game 4 was the first game in the series in which he failed to reach 40 minutes, logging 39 minutes. He's averaged 41.3 minutes per game in the series. numberFire's model projects Tatum to score a game-high 27.0 points along with 8.1 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 39.9 minutes.

Bam Adebayo ($14,700) -- Adebayo recorded his third-straight double-double in the ECF with 20 points and 12 rebounds in Game 4. He's averaged 21.5 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 4.5 assists in the series on 39.3 minutes per game. Adebayo has been a mismatch for the Boston Celtics' bigs, and his per-game clips of 7.5 free-throw attempts and 13.3 field-goal attempts is solid volume. With three straight 20-point double-doubles, he's the best captain option for the Miami Heat in Game 5. numberFire's model predicts Adebayo to post 17.8 points, 11.8 rebounds and 5.4 assists in 38.3 minutes.

Utility Considerations

Goran Dragic ($8,200) -- Dragic had a bounce-back outing in Game 4, totaling 22 points, five rebounds, and three assists in 39 minutes. He made a few late clutch plays to hold off the Celtics and has now scored 22 or more points three times in four ECF games. The Dragon has posted averages of 21.8 points, 4.3 assists, and 4.0 rebounds in four games. Those are borderline identical numbers to his 13-game postseason totals of 21.3 points, 4.5 assists, and 4.3 rebounds. You know what you're getting from Dragic night in and night out, and I'm expecting another 35-plus fantasy points from him tonight.

Jimmy Butler ($9,400) -- Butler had a solid Game 4, scoring 24 points and grabbing nine rebounds in 39 minutes. Butler has amassed 41 points and 17 rebounds across the past two games -- up from 34 points and nine rebounds in the first two games. In the series, Butler has averaged 18.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists in 38.8 minutes. He and Dragic are close number-two options behind Adebayo for captain consideration.

Kemba Walker ($8,800) -- Walker has scored 19 or more points in four straight games and is averaging 20.8 in the series. Adding to his totals, Walker is at 5.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists for the series, and he's made three or more triples in each his previous three games. He's been consistent across four games, but he hasn't had that breakout performance. The Celtics could use it here to avoid going home, but if it doesn't come, you may be able to get a role player like Jae Crowder ($5,600) or Marcus Smart ($7,200) to post roughly the same fantasy total as Walker's.

Jaylen Brown ($9,200) -- Brown is averaging more points (21.8) and rebounds (6.8) than Walker in the series. Brown has played 40 or more minutes in three of four ECF games and was one rebound short of his first double-double in the series. He's hitting 55.5% of his field-goal attempts and 58.0% of his three-pointers in the series -- ridiculous numbers. He's quietly scored 21 or more points in three straight games and has snagged at least five rebounds in every postseason game. Brown should be a lock for at least 20 points and five rebounds in Game 5. numberFire's model projects Brown to record 22.5 points and 7.3 rebounds in 39.2 minutes.

Tyler Herro ($7,800) -- Herro had the best game of his career in Game 4, finishing with 37 points, six rebounds, and three assists in 36 minutes. He went 14-of-21 (66.7%) from the field and five-of-10 (50%) from deep. He's scored in double-digits in every postseason game and has done so in 20 straight games dating back to the regular season. He's a walking bucket and is also averaging 7.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists. Herro is a solid fantasy play at this salary, though his Game 4 outburst will surely drive up his roster percentage.
