3 NBA DraftKings Studs to Target on 11/29/17

Bradley Beal, SG, Washington Wizards

Bradley Beal was mega-chalk last night and burned the masses with 21 DraftKings points on 2-for-11 shooting. He was clearly bothered by Jimmy Butler's defense and deferred to Otto Porter ($6,700) much more often than we've seen in past games without John Wall.

That could all be reversed tonight, as it is Porter who has the tougher matchup. Porter will have to deal with Robert Covington's defense, while Beal will likely be checked by J.J. Redick or T.J. McConnell (assuming Ben Simmons sits). If Simmons plays, that would put a slight damper on Beal's outlook, because they could put him or Covington on Beal while they hide Redick on the Washington Wizards' fill-in point guard.

Regardless of Simmons' status, the Philadelphia 76ers have struggled mightily against opposing shooting guards this season. While they have seen improvements across the board defensively, they've allowed the second-most DraftKings points per game to opposing two guards. Let's not forget that Beal averaged 40.2 DraftKings points and 24.5 shot attempts in games without Wall prior to last night's dud. He should see a healthy usage rate and could be in store for a bounce-back. Hopefully recency bias from last night's performance keeps his ownership down, because he has a tantalizing ceiling.
