Niko Goodrum, 2B, Detroit Tigers

The Detroit Tigers have actually garnered some decent ownership a couple times this week, but that doesn't figure to be the case tonight, with plenty of better spots to roster.

Still, the Tigers get an intriguing matchup versus Ervin Santana, who's frankly been pretty dreadful over four starts since coming off the disabled list. Santana has posted a 5.54 SIERA and 15.2% strikeout rate, along with a 37.1% hard-hit rate allowed. Perhaps this is the spot Santana gets things going, but he didn't exactly sport the best peripherals last year, either, (4.60 SIERA), and his pristine 3.28 ERA in 2017 always felt like the work of a fortuitous .245 BABIP.

Niko Goodrum has disappointed a few times this week, but he has nice power upside against right-handers, boasting a solid 38.4% hard-hit rate, 40.9% fly-ball rate, and .224 ISO. He and Nick Castellanos ($3,100) have appeal as affordable one-offs in tournaments.
