Elias Diaz, C, Pittsburgh Pirates

The Pittsburgh Pirates have a reasonable matchup against Jon Lester, but with a modest 4.15 implied team total, they figure to get the cold shoulder in most lineups.

However, Elias Diaz could be a sneaky play at low-ownership. Diaz is batting fifth tonight, and he has quietly put up some impressive numbers against southpaws, posting a 41.9% hard-hit rate, 40.3% fly-ball rate, .432 wOBA, and .254 ISO. Lester isn't really a pitcher we fear any longer as he's allowing a 4.94 FIP and .369 xwOBA to right-handed batters this season.

Although there are better overall matchups on the board, particularly on a smaller slate, Diaz makes for a great way to snag a contrarian bat with underrated upside.
