Miles Mikolas, SP, St. Louis Cardinals

Miles Mikolas has been a big addition for the St. Louis Cardinals as he's earned 7 victories this season while pitching to a 2.43 ERA. However, his 3.57 SIERA is more than a full run higher.

Mikolas has just an 18.7% strikeout rate, which severely caps his upside. He's also allowed plenty of hard contact as batters against him have recorded a 34.7% hard-hit rate this season.

This game is also a classic matchup of an unstoppable force meeting an immovable object. Mikolas' claim to fame is his tiny 2.7% walk rate; it's why his SIERA is strong despite a poor strikeout rate. However, no team has a higher walk rate against righties than the Philadelphia Phillies do (10.1%). If Mikolas hands out a few more free passes than usual tonight, the hard-hit balls he surrenders are more likely to drive in runners.
